How it works
As with many of our treatments, dermal fillers contain hyaluronic acid which acts like a sponge to soak up moisture. Unlike our other treatments, the formulation used in dermal fillers is much more structured, holding its shape under the skin instead of spreading. This means dermal fillers can be used locally to reshape or replace volume in certain areas of the face.
Benefits
When done correctly, dermal fillers should soften or enhance your facial features without looking unnatural. They can be used to help restore volume the skin loses with aging and give a more youthful appearance.

In our experience, patients see a better result when they start with one of our restorative treatments such as Profhilo and Sunekos to boost the skin naturally and then use a dermal filler to top off the results where needed. It is important to let your doctor know of any preexisting conditions and any medication you are currently taking, for example, aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, and fish oil supplements which can increase the likelihood of bruising. If you are taking any prescribed medication, do not stop taking it without consulting your GP.

If you are setting skin goals for a particular event, for example, a wedding, we would advise booking your treatment for at least a month in advance to give the products time to start working. Because our treatments are aimed at long-term skin health, the more time you allow for treatment cycles beforehand, the better.
